About the Book
A new book with the story of a young photographer who came to become friends and walking partner through the many fields of Texas wildflowers with the environmentalist Lady Bird Johnson. Mrs. Johnson needed assistance and fresh photos to help her raise funding for her long held dream, a national wildflower research center.
Over a twenty-year partnership, Dennis Fagan helped and volunteered as she set out to change the largest state highway system in North America and find funding and a home for a permanent research center dedicated to the appreciation and understanding of the indigenous plants and trees in Texas and across the United States.
